Aero frames used to mean heavy. The RD88 is our answer to that trade-off.
For 2026 we took our aero road platform and cut it down to 870 grams in size 520 — a weight that, until recently, belonged to climbing frames. Here's what changed, and who this frame is for.
The numbers first
TDC-RD88, aero road 700C, disc brake:
Full internal routing, without the workshop headache
Fully hidden cables look clean and test faster in the wind tunnel, but they have a reputation: mechanics hate them. The RD88 uses an FSA ACR/SMR-compatible head tube, so the bars, stem and spacers route the hoses the standard way — no custom tools, no three-hour bar tape job. Your assembly line and your customers' local shops will both notice.
Why 28C, and soon 32C
The road market has voted: wider tires, lower pressure, more comfort at the same speed. The RD88 clears 28C with room to spare, and a 32 mm version is in development — one frame platform that covers both the race and endurance positions of your catalogue.
Five sizes, one geometry chart
Stack and reach run from 490/372 (size 470) to 588/405 (size 570), with head tube angles from 71.6 to 73 degrees. The range is designed so a brand can carry two or three sizes and still fit most riders — which matters when you are deciding how many SKUs to open a market with.
Built on the same platform as everything we make
The RD88 comes out of the same factory and the same test room as our gravel and MTB frames: ISO 4210 based testing that goes beyond the standard, Italian-led design, and custom paint from your decals to a full colorway. And like the rest of our range, it is available from a single frame, no minimum order.
